Course Structure:

Week 1: Vocal Health Fundamentals

About Akiko Otao:

Akiko is an award winning opera singer, voice teacher, Artistic Director of The Voice Company and the co-artistic director of L'arietta Productions, a contemporary chamber opera company. She is a frequent clinician in Singapore and abroad, such as CDAS, IASIS, and Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory.

Her unique pedagogy prioritises the uniqueness of each singer by combining whole body awareness, voice science and storytelling. She is currently on the voice faculty at SOTA and is a lecturer of singing for BA (Hon) Musical Theatre course at LASALLE College of the Arts.
