Synopsis:
The passing of an event, an incident, and even the change in weather rides on time. Time could be slippery and swift with unfolding scenes, yet it could also be persistent and measured with yearnings.
In Times To Come presents image-based works by seven Malaysian artists as part of the Crossing SEA series, exploring time in the wake of occurrences and societal flux, alongside the ongoing portrayal of nationhood and self in our contemporary world.
Crossing SEA is DECK's ongoing exploration on contemporary photography in Southeast Asia. In its third edition, this multidisciplinary exhibition explores reflective moments, inviting contemplation when time seems to slow down and becomes precarious in one's mind.
