Metta Welfare Association is thrilled to announce the launch of the inaugural Legacy Art Event, a celebration that transcends time, a tribute to the artists who continue to grace our world with their imagination and creativity. In a pioneering twist, the Legacy Art Event goes beyond the conventional means of recognition. It carves a unique path by immortalising the artists' creations on the digital canvas of the blockchain. Just as family heirlooms are passed down through generations, these artworks will be forever etched in the digital realm, preserving their essence and impact. In collaboration with esteemed partners, NFT Ventures and Mega X World, the week-long event combines artistic excellence with a noble cause, supporting Metta Welfare Association's Arts@Metta initiatives.

Taking place at the serene setting of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple from 5th - 10th September 2023, the Legacy Art Event presents an extraordinary blend of artistry and benevolence. The event is not just a showcase, but a heartfelt dedication to the artistic community, starting with six distinguished artists, each recognised for their exceptional work in the UOB Painting of the Year series. This virtual family book, tracing the lineage of artistry, ensures that these artists and their creations will never be forgotten. Attendees will also have the exclusive opportunity to acquire these artists' physical and NFT artworks during the event.

In addition, the event will feature a heartwarming display of artworks produced by special needs artists from the Metta Welfare Association. These unique creations, brimming with authenticity and emotion, are a testament to the organisation's commitment to inclusivity and creative expression. These special artworks will also be offered for sale during the event, providing a dual opportunity for attendees to support both established and emerging artists.
