Synopsis:
Journey from our gallery to the outdoors and learn about Singapore as a traveller's home away from home.
In this special three-part programme, we begin with a tour of NMS's special exhibition ā Now Boarding: Experiencing Singapore through Travel, 1800sā2000s ā to explore the evolution of Singapore's identity through the medium of travel, including the rise and development of Singapore's hotel industry that began in the late 1800s during the "Golden Age of Travel".
We will then continue to Goodwood Park Hotel, an iconic national monument with a history that dates back to the 1900s. Here, our monument guides will share about the hotel's rich heritage, uncover lesser-known facts and see exclusive rooms and spaces that are not usually open to the public.
End your journey with a tea session in the Coffee Lounge at Goodwood Park Hotel, where you will savour a specially crafted tea menu inspired by the museum's special exhibition.
