Synopsis:

The Royal Over-Seas League are pleased to announce that the 2021 theme of the ROSL Photography Competition is 'International Friendship'.

To capture contemporary culture in the Commonwealth all images submitted must be taken in the past year (from 7 September 2020), relate to the chosen theme and have a link to current countries of the Commonwealth. This competition is open to photographers 18+ and is FREE to enter!

The ROSL Photography Competition has two categories and applicants may submit up to 5 images across both categories to be judged individually:
Camera
Mobile Phone

Judges
London: Sunil Gupta, Rakesh Mohindra, Germaine Walker
International: Farah Mahub, Veerle Poupeye, Sarker Protick

Prizes
Camera winner will receive £2,000, a trip to the clubhouse exhibition opening, a day of professional tutoring and their winning image will be published in the Overseas magazine.
Mobile Phone winner will receive £1,000 and their winning image will be published in the Overseas magazine.
Young Photographer winner will receive £500 as part of 'The Madiha Aijaz prize for a young photographer of promise' which will be chosen solely by judge Farah Mahbub in memory of her colleague and friend.
Top 20 images will be displayed in the Over-Seas House Exhibition.

Timeline
Deadline for entries is 5pm GMT on Monday 6 September 2021.
The 20 images selected for exhibition and overall prize-winners will be announced on Friday 29 October 2021.
The exhibition of final images will open at Over-Seas House on Tuesday 7 December 2021.
