Synopsis:

A Librarian's World (ALW) - Bringing Food to The Table (23 March) invites visitors in the exploration of food following this season's theme of 'Makan-Makan' (feast), as part of the ALW monthly talk series held by the National Library. Together with Librarians Kong Leng Foong and Nadia Ramli, discover how food has played an integral role in our everyday lives, and has been captured over the course of time by various artists, writers, and filmmakers through three themes: 'Chop!' – food preparation, 'Chope!' – street food and hawker culture, and 'Chill' – food in films.

The ALW monthly talk series is a programme by the National Library to shed light on what our librarians do and what makes them tick as they share highlights of their work from the collections of the National Library.
