Synopsis:

Calling all horror fiction junkies! You're invited to Tunku Halim's book sharing session at BookFest@Singapore 2019. Listen as he shares the inspiration behind his new book, "Scream to the Shadows".

In "Scream to the Shadows", Halim touches on the different facets of horror through 20 short stories across 5 distinct worlds. The stories are sorted into 3 broad categories.

The first category involves the paranormal mysteries from 'The occult words', with its dark, brooding settings and supernatural existences detailed in characteristic Halim style.

The second, 'Fragmented Minds' opens doors to the tales of the horrors of some twisted human minds driven by madness. Eschewing a supernatural theme, these instances of the human rationality falling apart evoke fear of a different nature. The third set of horrors is a reflection of our vulnerability, with its tales of how the technology can be destructive at times.

Tunku Halim is a Malaysian novelist, short story & non-fiction writer, and lawyer. His novel Vermillion Eye was a study text at the National University of Singapore.
