Synopsis:
Crafting Type Singapore is a 3-day intensive type design workshop where everyone, regardless of skill level, is invited. Workshops are facilitated around the world by our team of established type designers and this year, with The Gentlemen's Press, we are bringing back Crafting Type to Singapore.
Led by Pathum Egodawatta and Blondina Elms Pastel, participants will learn the basics of type and letter anatomy through sketching letterforms and finally by developing their very own fonts on screen.
"Learning type design is a great way to deepen your understanding of typography. Zooming in to this level is still rare, and being able to drill down with clients and other designers sets you apart. ...No previous experience of type design is required. ...What you'll leave with are new typography skills, new tools for drawing type, and the first key letters of your own type design."
