Synopsis:

Later is a performative lounge based on an eponymous, 18-minute narrative film weaving in the lives of five people. For two nights only, you are invited into a visual and sonic show, each installation collaboratively presented by the actual cast and crew. The entire affair will display the intersections of art and reality, contextualising and identifying the film while letting the viewer come to their own truth.

The multimedia group show will take place at kult on 2 and 3 August, 7.45pm to 10.00pm, and manifest each artist's discipline. Leading up to the screening on each night, electronic musician Theemptybluesky and dancer Isabel Phua will perform a sound-and-movement set that in part responds to Everything in its Wrong Place, a site-specific installation by visual artists Ben Yap and Lim Cheng Jun exploring the concept of sudden malfunction, faults in the system, and societal outliers. In addition, kult kafé will set up a special pop-up bar within the gallery.

Come lounge, and experience a conceptual film in more ways than one.

Free entry for all. Donations are welcome.
