Synopsis:
Blunt Knife is a confessional solo performance based on events that occured during my teenage years - years that were voluntarily spent in pursuit of physical virtuosity, beauty, and other illusions. The starting point is my early interest in figure skating; the ending point is hot tears on cold ice, and a spirit unyielding, like the steel blades under my boots.
In this performance, I declare allegiance to first love, confront a taboo head-on, and embrace a non-normative coming-of-age experience.
Content warning: sexual themes.
