Synopsis:
Tides ebb and flow! Moons wax and wane! The river only knows the complex and the plain! Find a partner, polish your words, bring them out for an evening of competing verse.
Two by Two is a spoken word duel between pairs of poets. Competition slots are first-come-first-serve, and limited to 10 pairs. There will be two rounds of two-minute poems. Please prepare two sets of poems for the competition, but be aware that half the pairs will be eliminated after the first round.
The top team will take home $300 in cash! And finalists will be awarded a wide array of Sing Lit prizes. :)
If you're coming as an audience member, you'll get to see Jennifer Anne Champion, Joses Ho, Will Beale, Shivram Gopinath and many more live on stage, in an exciting evening of words at the KC Arts Centre.
Two by Two is hosted by Charlene Shepherdson, and is a proud programme of the 2018 Singapore River Festival.
