Synopsis:

On Monday, 27 August 2018, the National Arts Council (NAC) published a draft of their strategic policy for the arts for the next five years, Our SG Arts Plan (2018 - 2022), together with a call for public feedback.

In response, Have your say: NAC SG Arts Plan is a participant-driven discussion and feedback session that aims to catalyse conversations about the recommendations proposed by the strategic plan, and the possible implications on the livelihoods, resources and programmes of artists and arts groups in Singapore.

By actively organising, seeking out, and engaging in discussions like this, we also hope to contribute to the development of our individual civic responsibilities to engage with policy and policy-makers, as well as our collective capacity to understand, analyse and respond to the strategic plan's recommendations.

To allow for more meaningful discussions, participants are highly encouraged to familiarise themselves with the contents of Our SG Arts Plan (2018 - 2022) prior to the session.

After the session, a brief report summarising the critical points raised during the discussions will be submitted to NAC for further consideration, and will also be available online as a public document.

We look forward to your presence, and hearing your say on the future of the arts in Singapore!

If you are unable to attend the session, you can also submit your feedback via the same form by Saturday, 8 September 2018, 11:59 pm.
