Forte Music Training in collaboration with Yamaha Music (Asia) Pte. Ltd. is proud to organize and host the first Piano Pedagogy Teachers Conference 2018 in Singapore.

In this Piano Pedagogy Teachers Conference, we are honoured to have Dr. Azariah Tan engage us with a lecture-recital 'Unlocking the last 3 piano sonatas of Beethoven'. Ms. Wendy Choh, Senior Consultant Educational Psychologist, will enlighten us with 'Motivating Young Children'. At this conference, Dorothy Chia will be launching the 2nd edition of her beginner theory book for young children 'Theory Explorer book 1'. Dorothy will be sharing with piano teachers tips and tricks to get young children off on the right track with learning Music Theory. And to round off the conference, there will be a panel discussion on the topic, 'Keeping Up With The Changes in the Piano Teaching Profession' where hot topics like working with parents today, getting students to practise, challenges of busy students affecting our teaching schedules etc. And joining us on the panel discussion is Ms. Emily Woo, a veteran teacher who has taught in the Singapore school system, the French school system and is now a full time independent piano teacher. We are also looking forward to an exciting participation from the audience of piano teachers.
