Synopsis:

Does your wanderlust often take you across oceans and into unfamiliar yet exciting territories? Tell us the PLACES you've travelled which have moved and inspired you.

WHAT?
PLACES Season 3 is a 20-session interdisciplinary mentorship project held at Tampines Regional Library from October to December 2017. Under the tutelage of a Singapore-born poet, Boey Kim Cheng, and Singaporean illustrator, Ann Gee Neo, learn the craft of literary non-fiction travel writing, incorporating visual artworks inspired by your personal travel mementos. Your works could even be published into a travel anthology.

We want to see it through YOUR eyes.

WHO?
Travellers aged 18 to 49 years who are keen to translate your travel experiences into great travel stories for your friends or public audience. Best for aspiring travel writers/bloggers, personal journaling etc.'

HOW?
Write in to arts@nlb.gov.sg using the subject header [PLACES Season 3] [Full Name] and let us know why you want to be a part of the project (150 words maximum), and list 2 countries you might be interested in writing about.

Please also include:
1) Name, Age, NRIC
2) Mobile number
3) Occupation
4) A writing sample on the topic of travelling (500 – 700 words):
5) A link to your portfolio (optional)
6) If you are able to commit to the weekends in October to December 2017
