Synopsis:

In 1912, Wilhelm Uhde, a German art collector, first to have ever bought a Picasso and discovered the « Douanier » Rousseau, rents an apartment in Senlis, to write and escape from Paris. He hires a housekeeper, Séraphine. One day, he notices at a neighbour's house, a beautiful painting on a wooden canvas. Wilhelm learns that the painter behind this artwork is Séraphine. A privileged and trusting relationship yet unexpected will start, between the art dealer and the visionary villager.
