Synopsis:
Guitarist-Composer Az Samad has recorded with Grammy winners; taught at Berklee College of Music; performed in the United States, Europe & Asia; and appeared on 13 CDs. “A prodigy with the steel-string and nylon-string guitars” (Faces Magazine), Az is constantly in demand with his diverse musical skills in Jazz, contemporary acoustic fingerstyle guitar and classical guitar leading to performances from intimate solo guitar shows to outdoor festival stages and classical orchestra concerts. His works have been described as “richly textured, poetic and atmospheric”. In addition to performing, Az will also share his music making process including setting music to poetry.

Previously based in Berkeley, California; Az now lives in Kuala Lumpur.
