Synopsis:
Always had a flair for writing? Often find yourself dreaming in acts and writing in scenes? If you are aged 17 – 25 and see yourself as the next Miller, Shakespeare or Harrower, take the first step with The Young Company Writing Programme.
Helmed by local award-winning playwright Jean Tay, the programme aims to give participants the confidence to start exploring their own creative voice, as well as provide an introduction to the fundamentals of dramatic writing. Participants will be working closely with The Young Company acting programme members .
To apply, simply email youth@srt.com.sg with the following:
- A prose of at least 1,000 words
- A sample of writing of any genre
- An idea for a play
The closing deadline is 30 June 2016.
Shortlisted applicants will be notified mid-July.
