Organised by the National Arts Council and co-organised by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra, the National Chinese Music Competition is a platform that celebrates excellence in Chinese Music. This biennial competition aims to develop the performing skills of young musicians and identify promising new talents for traditional Chinese music. It also provides opportunities for young musicians to perform on a competitive platform, before an international jury.
Since the Competition started in 1998, we have seen an increase in the number of entries. The last Competition held in 2010 attracted a total of 250 entries, more than double the figure since its inception.
Registration closes on Friday 20 July 2012 at 5pm.
